Picture your life as two blank canvases.
One is the life you would paint for yourself. Perfect with no problems or trials.
And the other is the life God will paint for you. Blemished, sometimes troubled but filled with His Love.
Which would you choose?
In the end both canvases will fade and disappear but behind the one God will paint for you is the Promise of Eternal Life and Everlasting Love and in the End that is all that matters.
While out I saw a child hugging his Mother for safety and comfort. Ahead of them I saw an elderly women looking sad like she too could use a hug from someone for safety and comfort. And I thought to myself who is there for us when there is no one around? When our mothers are gone and the people we know have passed on who will make us feel safe and comforted? And I smiled because I knew their will always be safety and comfort in God and Jesus Christ.
As Forrest Gump once said "Life is like a box of chocolates" and he was right it is. I believe that box of chocolates can represent our whole lives and each chocolate represents the momements of our lives. Some are good and some are bad. Sometimes we get a lot of bad ones before the good ones. And in the end the box of chocolates is empty. But with God and Jesus Christ when that "box of chocolates" is empty here on the earth we get something even better in Heaven and that emptiness will be gone!
